Update from Saturday 11th March. By Ian, Terry, Leroy and Matt

On Saturday we ran the annual GWR staff training day running a train between Norton and Bishops Lydeard
as part of a training exercise. D6575 was used along with D7017 for the afternoons two trips.
D7017 was examined over the pit at Bishops Lydeard on Saturday morning.
Class 47 D1661 was brought down to top and tail with the Class 33 but unfortunately suffered a
brake/vigiliance issue which required it to have attention from our electricians at Bishops Lydeard.

Back on shed, Terry reports on the work progressing on D9526.
Simon and team lift both bonnets off 9526 to allow access to the engine and the brake frame.
Also pictures show a tired Paxman power unit which installed in 2002, 9526 alongside 7018 nearing it's major
Mike and Warren are pictured consulting on which spanner to use for the removal of the transmission drive
cover on the rear of the engine.

Ian has sent a few photos below along with Leroy who has sent a photo of D7018 bodywork and the various
layers of paint the loco has accumulated over the many years.
