Update from Saturday 28th January. By Paul Tucker.

Paul reports on some work undertaken this weekend on D7017 and D7018.
I changed the other ring of bolts mounting the air intake bellows up to the turbo chargers in D7018. This should
complete the job as requested by the Chief engineer.
Then with assistance from Leroy Ford I fitted the bump guards to the bottom of the air intakes so that heads have
a softer bump if raised under them. They had previously been stripped and repainted and had been fitted with
new foam, by Graham Perry. Meantime Graham had tapped out panel fixing holes in the cab to take new bolts,
and then started to apply top coat to the cab.

I attended to another little job this time in D7017 involving sorting a drivers seat so that the handles are now in the
correct position. This had been requested by our senior driver. The last job was a small painting job to tidy up a
job around the cooler group.

Finally our Spring Work Week for those of you that are active volunteers will take place between the 11th and
18th March.

Graham is pictured below painting in the cab of D7018. Below that photograph of the engine room of
the loco.
